When you contact the location, please complete theattached form(which includes the bullet points below), and email Tom Swift at thomasswift@msn.com, as he is keeping track of location options:
• Capacity of 60+
• Audio/Video capabilities
• Is food an option there or would we need to have a caterer provide food?
• Is there ample parking?
• Can we meet there weekly?
• Is there a minimum weekly spend required?
• What are all of the all-in costs per person (food, any room charges, service charges, etc.) that we can expect?
• Located in Park Cities or adjacent to the Park Cities
Any and all ideas are welcome, and a decision is needed on a new location likely starting with our Friday 9/11/2026 meeting (meaning we need to have a new location reserved very soon)

Your Dues Are PAST Due!
Paul Pirok, previous Club Treasurer, has announced that the Dues for the 2026-27 Rotary Year have NOT increased over this year's Dues,
He asked that you pay them prior to June 1. He said there are three ways to pay:
• Bring a check to the meeting or mail it to the RCPC Office.
• Pay by credit card through the RCPC website (a fee for the credit card processing cost will be added)
• Pay using Zelle, also through the RCPC website (NO fee will be added)

From Kathleen Klaviter: Great time was had by all! We made smothered pork chops, mashed potatoes and green beans for 60 and received many compliments from the families! News: the House has a new chef, Chef Marcus. He was impressed with our teamwork and ability in the kitchen.

They packed 10,800 pounds of food equaling 9,000 meals into 2,160 bags on 9 pallets

Foot Care Clinic for the Homeless at Austin Street Center

Assisted by volunteer nursing students and other volunteer medical professionals, about 130 homeless people had their feet washed, cared for and given basic foot health checks. If needed, they were referred for medical treatment asap. After having their feet washed, each person received a new pair of shoes and socks and “care packages” with small sizes of over-the-counter Tylenol, allergy medicine, travel-size toiletries, bars of soap, etc.
•Ongoing. RCPC's Meals on Wheels Committee needs volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious meals to those who cannot obtain or prepare their own food. The routes are in the Casa Linda area and take about an hour to run. Meals are delivered Monday through Thursday around midday. Ask Jim Weichel for details and the routes and dates available.
•Volunteers are needed every week to sell raffle tickets. There are dates available.
This is a great way to meet and engage with members before the Friday meetings.
Tickets are $1 or 7 for $5 and as a reminder the proceeds generated goes to the RCPC Foundation.

The Rotary Club of Park Cities' Communities Fund was originally sponsored in the 1960’s by the Rotary Club of Park Cities (“RCPC”) for the purpose of providing an enduring legal entity through which members and friends of the Rotary Club of Park Cities might make donations for the good of mankind and the Dallas community. The fund continues to this day to consider internal and external grant requests submitted on the RCPC Foundation online grant portal found on the club website.
The following grant requests were approved at our November 2022 meeting:
• $1,000 grant for scholarships for Hillcrest High School for scholarship to honor RCPC long term member C.C. Collie
• $5,413.44 grant for Equest
• $6,000 grant for the Agape Clinic
The Executive Team denied the following grant request:
• Addison Midday grant request for Genesis Women's Shelter
The fund balance as of November 30, 2022, was $1,710.729.17. The Communities Foundation of Texas manages the RCPC Foundation Fund. The amount available each year for grants is derived from an average over 16 quarters (4 years), then, 4.5% of that amount is the amount available for distribution the following year.
Our Sgt. at Arms Kathy Wall for 2022-2023, reported that the RCPC Foundation Fund donations thru 11-30-2022 totals $9,116.00 from 37 donors!
