Welcome
Volunteer to Help with the 4th of July Parade and Festival

This parade takes a lot of people to produce on the parade day, and we can use your help. Here are some of the ways you can be of assistance:
- Walking Marshals- walk alongside the floats to push any candy that falls into the street towards the curb and to encourage any kids running out into the street to get back to the curb. The parade’s speed is about two miles per hour with plenty of stops, so it is easy to keep up alongside the floats. These marshals gather at 8:00 a.m. at the corner of Euclid and Drexel, and you will be finished by 11: a.m.
- Standing Marshals-stand at certain points along the parade route where crowds gather. The job is to pass out fans for the crowd and try to keep people from crowding into the street or running after candy that lands in the street as the parade passes. You may bring a folding chair to sit in as you wait for the parade to pass by. Standing marshals should arrive at their location by 8:15 a.m.
Attire for Volunteers. On the day of the parade, we ask that you wear a blue shirt and khaki pants or shorts, and we will provide you with a vest that says Volunteer.
